TorsoJeans is a wearable meditation on memory, identity, and the emotional resonance of clothing. Formed from fragments of seven personal garments, each a trace of who I was or hoped to be, I combined key qualities (such as body part, color, texture, memory, and detail) into a single phrase: “A cute off-white torso jeans with canvas structure, covered with pearls for the visit of Grandma and Grandpa.”
TorsoJeans can be worn by different people—male, female, or beyond. It becomes unique with each wearer, shaped by their body and history. In this way, it does not define identity but reflects it and creates space for it to shift.
