The goal of this project was to translate Joosten Mueller's installation "Reaktionsräume," held in the Crystal Room at GAK (Gesellschaft für Aktuelle Kunst) in Bremen, into an informational brochure.
The concept is based on "reaction spaces", where biochemical reactions occur within cell compartments. Mueller's idea of a "glass cell" contrasts with historical cell artifacts that age, become obsolete, and disappear, redefining the exhibition space as a reaction space for rediscovery.
The flyer aims to reflect the installation by using transparent material, making its content visible when light passes through it. This creates "reaction spaces" within the paper, where folded contents form new visuals. The typography contrasts neutral typefaces with serif fonts reminiscent of old scientific journals, enhancing the connection to the scientific and historical themes of the exhibition.
