Impress OverAll is a wearable piece that grew out of my experience of traveling by train. During long commutes I became fascinated by how the passing landscape dissolves into soft lines and shifting colors. The pattern captures these moments where sky ground and speed blend into an abstract horizon. It reflects how being in motion changes the way we see and feel the world around us.
This work sits at the intersection of conceptual fashion and photography. It is less about fashion as trend and more about clothing as a way to think about movement perception and visual storytelling.
Digitally printed on silk the garment becomes a canvas. When it lies flat the print looks calm and structured but when worn it comes alive through movement. The shifting fabric echoes the rhythm of being in transit of standing still while moving through space. Through this work I explore how we process motion what we notice when we travel and how these experiences shape our sense of place and identity. There is also a quiet reference to cultural clothing forms suggesting how visual identity can emerge from the act of moving through the world.
