The exhibition How Are We Picturing Cells?, first shown at Haus der Wissenschaft Bremen and now permanently installed at the Institute of Biology at Humboldt University of Berlin, examines how visual language shapes our perception of cellular structures.
Developed in collaboration with Joosten Müller, the project challenges conventional scientific imagery by exploring alternative visual strategies. The exhibition design uses dark, subdued tones, white typography, metallic surfaces, and digital elements to create a precise, research-driven environment. Interactive stations and integrated video displays invite visitors to reflect on core aspects of cell visualization such as scale, structure, abstraction, and diversity.
The visual concept, spatial layout, and graphic execution were developed and implemented by me. More details and media can be found here.
